German telecommunication giant Deutsche Telecom will use Israeli VoIP and Data networking products supplier AudioCodes MSBR routers for ongoing migration from an ISDN infrastructure to an all-IP infrastructure. AudioCodes MSBR routers will deliver SIP trunk connectivity over broadband for Deutsche Telecom’s business customers.

AudioCode has reported revenues of $34.8 in Q1 2016, compared to $35.5 million in the previous quarter. The report shows an increase of 20% in UC-SIP sales – the kind that will be provided to Deutsche Telecom.

AudioCodes MSBR routers offer VoIP connectivity, data routing and security together with a range of WAN interface options, in a single, compact platform. They integrates session border controller (SBC) functionality with extensive SIP interoperability to almost any customer IP-PBX (including Microsoft Skype for Business/Lync) to connect seamlessly with Deutsche Telekom’s infrastructure.

The devices support WAN interfaces including Gigabit Ethernet, ADSL and VDSL2 (including vectoring), as well as BRI and PRI ISDN interfaces for customers with legacy PBX equipment. Voice encryption is supported across all of AudioCodes’ voice connectivity platforms, including MSBR, to ensure secured communications for Deutsche Telekom’s business customers.

AudioCodes’ MSBRs will be fully integrated into Deutsche Telekom’s management platforms to enable rapid installation and full remote management and monitoring. Furthermore, AudioCodes’ cloud-based SBC licensing mechanism will enable Deutsche Telekom to respond rapidly to its customers’ changing needs.

Transition to a new infrastructure

“Reliable SIP trunk connectivity for our business customers is an important part of Deutsche Telekom’s migration to All-IP,” said Hendrik Otten, Head of Commercial Management Inhouse at Deutsche Telekom GmbH. “With their extensive SIP interoperability, support for ISDN and WAN interfaces and flexible manageability, AudioCodes’ family of MSBRs are an ideal CPE device ensuring secure, reliable and smooth connectivity with the new infrastructure and enabling us to deliver new value-added services in the future.”

“We are delighted to have been selected by Deutsche Telekom for this prestigious project,” commented Shaul Weissman, VP Business Development, Service Providers, at AudioCodes. “Our MSBRs were designed to deliver secure, reliable and high quality voice and data services while maintaining consistently high performance. We believe that this combination will significantly contribute to the successful migration of Deutsche Telekom’s business customers to SIP trunk services.”

A 20% increase in UC-SIP sales

Meanwhile, Audiocodes published its Q1 2016 financial report. The company’s revenues in Q1 2016 were $34.8 million, compared to $35.6 million in Q4 2015. Revenues related to UC-SIP business increased 20% compared to the first quarter of 2015. The UC-SIP business is one of the company’s strategic businesses, as businesses globally accelerate their adoption of hosted UC and SIP Trunking, and as service providers are making increased efforts to migrate to All-IP, we firmly believe in the long term secular growth of our UC-SIP business. Service revenues were $10.2 million, compared to $8.9 million in the first quarter of 2015.

AudioCodes president and CEO Shabtai Adlersberg said that the company aims to grow its UC-SIP business about 15% annually, and evolve it to become the company’s main business. “I am pleased to report that in the first quarter of 2016 we achieved 20% growth in our UC-SIP business over the year-ago quarter, and made important progress in sales of SBC, IP Phones and CloudBond 365, which are key to the UC-SIP business”.
