HowItWorks-300x168Last week, Techtime reported that Israeli automotive cybersecurity forerunner Argus was chosen by Daimler to join its “Startup Autobahn”. It seems Argos is not alone – Israeli Smart Personal Sound pioneer Noveto Systems is one of the first three companies to join Daimler’s ambitious project.

Hardware-Lab-Produktion-ARENA2036_2-620x413-300x200The “Startup Autobahn” is an ambitious project led by German automotive giant Daimler together with the Silicon Valley Plug and Play, the University of Stuttgart and ARENA2036. The “Autobahn” includes the construction of a large scale research campus, a massive research lab and extensive financial and logistical support to 300 companies in fields connected to automotive industry. Daimler hopes to turn its traditional headquarters city of Stuttgart into the “Mecca” of mobility technology.  Among the first three company to join the project are Israeli Argus and Noveto.

Noveto Systems is an Israeli high-tech company developing human-machine vocal interface. The company hopes to revolutionize the way sound is consumed. The company was chosen by Daimler thanks to its Private sound system Sowolo – a system based on the use of sensors, automatically determining the user’s profile, pairing it with the system. The built-in intelligent 3D sensors constantly track the user’s head as he moves. The location information and the desired audio signals are then compiled together to form special wave compositions. These waves drive proprietary transducers, able to steer and focus the acoustics to the user’s ears, with no moving parts. The technology has the ability to emit multiple beams, supporting binaural audio, and multiple streams servicing different listeners concurrently. In selected applications, gestures can be used to engage the private-speaker mode and control its functionality.

“Noveto is honored to be the first among such an impressive and elite group of technology startups and we wish to thanks Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Diamler’s Chairman of the Board of Management, and Mr. Saeed Amidi, PlugAndPlay’s Founder & CEO, for creating this amazing program. The Startup Autobahn program shows the need for continued revolution in this industry as we enter the next era of technology innovation,” said Tomer Shani, co-founder and COO of Noveto. “Noveto is dedicated to revolutionizing the way we consume audio. Whether it’s enhancing the safety and comfort while driving a car, turning home or work into an acoustic-friendly environment, or simply improving the experience in everyday activities, we think audio should be a personal, hassle-free experience. This is the idea behind Sowlo, our Smart Personal Sound technology.”
